Research Interests
My research examines how urban policy models travel across borders and transform through processes of translation and adaptation. I specifically study the dynamics driving Korean cities and governments to export their smart city models, investigating why and how they promote their urban development strategies in the global marketplace.
My broader research interests encompass urban politics and environmental policies. I have worked on several policy research projects regarding urban environmental policies, climate change adaptation, and environmental monitoring.
